Alive In Messiah (Washington)

“But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with He loved us, even when we were dead in our wrongdoings, made us alive together with Christ…”

– Ephesians 2:4-5, ESV

In 2018, the Gonzales family joined a Bible study held in the home of Caleb Hegg and his wife, Lacacia Cardoza. After several months of attending, Michael felt the need to offer his assistance in leading and organizing the study sessions. After several months, the group decided to become a congregation and, after reading through Ephesians 2, they adopted the name “Alive in Messiah” (AIM).

Once the church was launched, Michael stepped up to serve as an elder with Caleb, sharing the responsibility for teaching on Shabbat and Festival Days. Michael also helped in structuring and organizing the service segments, scheduling the various readings, the hymn list, the website, and other items necessary in running the congregation.

In 2022 Michael stepped down from his role as an elder and moved to Fort Worth, Texas to be close to family.
