A Resource for the Spring Festivals
Last night as the sun set, the 3rd Day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread began along with the 2nd Day of the Omer Count. According the Biblical account, this is the day on which Messiah Yeshua rose from the grave very early in the morning. It is also the 17th Day of Nisan which, this year, falls on Shabbat.
I thought I’d share this visual aid that I put together to teach my family about the chronology of the death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of Yeshua, along with the outpouring of the Ruach HaKodesh on Shavuot. I hope to demonstrate that Yeshua’s Earthly Ministry did not stop at His resurrection but continued for another 40 days to His ascension. Now He “lives to make intercession” for us in the Heavenly Tabernacle (Hebrews 7:25, Romans 8:34).
I understand that the date of Yeshua’s resurrection is an ongoing topic of debate among Torah-observant people. But, over the past 25 years of going back and forth about the timing, I have found that this chronology makes the most sense to me, and it reconciles the alleged discrepancies in the Synoptic Gospels.
For what it’s worth, I hope you have a blessed Resurrection Day this Shabbat.
